How long does it take to make a custom/personalised sign?

 

Making a custom order sign can take between 2-4 weeks depending on volume of orders. Some short notice work can be undertaken but this cannot be guaranteed. I will always try to meet your needs to the best of my ability regarding time frames. It is important to remember though, that these are hand-painted, NOT stickers, prints, pen or computer printed, so the waiting times reflect this.

Larger wedding orders may take slightly longer depending on content. I always encourage those wanting wedding orders to get in touch as early as possible to secure your place in the order book.

Do you have any ‘ready-made’ items or is everything bespoke?

 

Most of my work is bespoke (especially with the signs) but there are sometimes those which can be purchased ready-made. There are also times when I sell off ex-display signs which means a bargain price for a very well looked after sign.

Certain other items of stock such as vintage teacup candles and vintage cake-stands are usually ready to purchase.

You can sometimes find me at wedding fairs or markets in the area and you are able to make on the spot purchases at most of these events.

Which wedding fairs or events are you attending this year?

 

You can find details of upcoming wedding fairs and events in the calendar and also announcements on the website and Facebook page.

 

Do you have a price list?

 

I have a basic price list for customers but custom signs can vary in price depending on size and how time intensive they are to create. I will usually try to give you more than one size/pricing option. You can find out more about pricing by using the ‘Contact Us’ form on the website or phoning on 01287 632049, or popping into the shop.

Prices for items other than signs can also be obtained using the same methods.

 

Do you post the items out?

 

I give local people the option to collect the sign from the shop in Guisborough should they wish but I can also post out to you if you aren’t! P&P varies depending on the dimensions and weight of the sign. It is worth noting that certain signs such as ones on a pole in a cemented base will be collection only due to bulk/weight.

 

Can you post internationally?

 

I am happy to obtain quotes for international postage.

Some restrictions to which products can be sent may apply depending on country.

Oh, Abigail will take no responsibility for any customs charges.

Please note that parcels travelling to other countries can take several weeks to arrive after dispatch and all payments must be made in sterling.

 
Will you tell me which brand of paint/type of wood/brand of clay/tools and brushes you use and where you buy them from?

 

I receive a lot of e-mails asking this question with the aim to reproduce/copy my work so, unfortunately, I choose not to reveal this information. Whilst I ensure I use the best quality and safest products I can find, actual products vary depending on customer requirements.

I am also committed to upcycling and using recycled materials wherever possible.

 

 
What methods of payment do you accept?

 

Bank Transfer (preferred), Paypal (a small fee applies) and Personal Cheque unless an alternative method is organised with me at time of order.
You can also make card payments at the shop.

Please note that all methods of payment must clear before your item is dispatched.

Please note that work is not started until payment has been made. You should make payment within 7 days of confirming your order with me unless your order is required for a time frame shorter than this in which case you should pay immediately.

 

How do I place an order?

 

You can place an order by sending an email to ohabigail.mail@gmail.com about the type of sign you would like or call 01287 632049. You can also use the ‘Contact Us’ page or send me a message on Facebook. You can also come and chat to me at the shop.

You are welcome to come and talk to me about orders at upcoming fairs (found in the calendar).

 

Why don’t you have a ‘shop’ section on your website?

 

It would be very difficult for me to include all the options for you on a ‘buy it now’ shop since there are very few set in stone designs. The sky is the limit! In order to discuss your order fully and for me to make it to your individual specifications, it is better that we chat via message, email or phone first. There, I can provide you with a list of everything I will need to know.

 

OH, ABIGAIL PHOTOS AND PRESS:

 

Do you lend your products out to press and photoshoots?

 

Yes, if I am able to find a period where I do not require my signs for wedding fairs or similar, I am able to lend out my signs. Please note that you should credit ‘Oh, Abigail’ appropriately and any damages must be paid for.

 

Can I use your photos or information?

 

Sometimes my photos are copyrighted to individual photographers which I have obtained and shared with their permission whilst giving the appropriate credit.

Please do NOT use any photos from my Facebook page or website without obtaining my permission. In the event that the photo belongs to a specific photographer, I will contact them directly to obtain their permission too. You should then credit both Oh, Abigail and the photographer in this instance.
